The "corage" to go on.....

......and start from scratch. As I was working on this piece for the "Haiti by Hand" site on etsy, I realized halfway through that I had spelled "courage" wrong. Well, I felt like crying. Although the design concept really looks simple, I actually put a lot of layers of medium to achieve the effect I wanted. I decided not to cry and try to look at it from a different angle. I am still learning so much and just chalked it up as a learning experience. The other piece was almost complete. It has been sitting here for a long time. I FINALLY figured out what I thought was missing. Just a little piece of "hope".:)

Oh I hate it, when things like that happen, so depressing!

I do love your work though and hope someday to own a piece!!

Hi Amy
Pants.....what a nuisance, when you have done so much work. I hope you resolved the mistake without too much trouble. Again and I know I keep saying it...but oh, how I adore everything you make. x

They are both such wonderful pieces with heartfelt messages. I think that 'hope' and 'courage" are two of the most meaningful words in our language and they are perfect accompanionments to your art. I love the colors in the Hope piece and that face on that one just makes me smile!!

I tried to buy this from etsy -- but it won't let me :( because I'm in Canada. I'm hoping to buy something else from you -- do you sell your ornaments like the ones in your Jan 25 post? Your work is fabulous -- I've added your blog to my reader!
